Keep an eye on Robert Meacham. He had a great game this evening, and should do you proud.
He was my student in 8th grade, so please forgive any favoritism on my part.
Anybody choose him for their fantasy team??

Actually, I went to our league site this morning to see if anyone drafted him. Unfortunately, he was already taken. That league has 14 teams and 17 roster spots each so a lot of sleeper type WRs and RBs get picked.
He contributed zilch last year but as you pointed out, he looked great last night. (129 yds and 1 TD) I already have Colston in that aforementioned league so it would have been nice to have Meacham also.
I hope he gives you lots of reasons to cheer on the Black and Gold this year. I agree that it is cool to see your former students have some athletic success. I have two playing tailback (1 starter, 1 backup) at Ole Miss, two at the Univ. of Southern MS (1 starting LB & 1 backup safety), and 1 at MS. State (backup OL). I pulled for all our state teams anyway but that really gives me reason to.

You've got a lot of FS's to cheer for! It can be tough on game day if they are playing against each other.
Robert was injured last season, so didn't play at all. He's been chomping at the bit to get back in the game. I've never played fantasy football, but just signed up with Kusch's league. I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing . . .

The Saints have held training camp in Jackson, MS. the last two years. There was a good article on Robert Meacham yesterday in The Clarion Ledger. I am sure it is still up on their website if you wanted to check it out. They cover camp pretty thoroughly so there is probably some more in their archives.
Yeah, it could be a problem when they are playing each other. Luckily the Ole Miss guys and the State guy are all offensive players so they never compete directly. Neither OM or MSU play USM so that is not an issue. My OL guy at State got a concussion the other day. He was real smart when he was at my school. I hope that didn't knock anything loose.

I had the pleasure of seeing him up close at training camp. The team practices at Millsaps and I took Samantha to a morning practice. Madeleine was NOT interested and it was too hot to bring Olivia. From what I saw Meacham looked good. He dint do squat last year but I think he'll be a real contributor this year. I hope he can hold on to the ball better than Devery Henderson.
I sadly have no fantasy team this year. With the move and the girls starting a new school I have had no time to even think about fantasy football. My brother and dad have a ff thingie going and they wanted me to join their group but alas I couldn't. Poo.

Hey Toq, I read an interesting thing on a fantasy site I subscribe to. They said that Devery was in real danger of not making the team. That was news to me.
