KJ's take on "5th Grader"

#1 Post by KillerTomato » Fri Aug 01, 2008 3:17 pm

I dunno if this was posted yet, but in case it hasn't been...

Ken Jennings has come clean as a fan of "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader," and not just because he'll be a contestant next season. Check out his blog post on it here.

FTR, I agree with him. Yes, their casting process sux, but I still enjoy watching it.
There is something wrong in a government where they who do the most have the least. There is something wrong when honesty wears a rag, and rascality a robe; when the loving, the tender, eat a crust while the infamous sit at banquets.

I try to, but in this case, it was MarkBarrett who passed on the word about KJ's blog entry, on Monday. :)

Granted, it was inside a thread I started! :P

He's stretching the point about this being a show about presenting the kids as good "nerd" models. Yes, but that's only incidental to making a laughing stock of the over-the-top contestants they choose.

It would be cool, though, if KJ's son could become one of the cast of 5th Graders, a few year from now. 8)
