Also, I read where Ken Griffey has been traded to the White Sox. I always hoped he'd finish in Cincinnati. He may get to the World Series this way, though.

It looks like 1/3 of Manny's annual salary is too much for Marlin's owner, Jeffrey "cheapskate" Loria. Remember, this is the man who was nailing the lid on the Expo's coffin when Canadians thought that there still was hope in saving the team. He needs to revamp his front office, so they won't continue to saddle him with these pesky contending teams.
