Dr Oz

If you can't walk a 1/4 mile in under 6 minutes, the chances of you dying in 5 years is 300 times greater than if you can walk it in under 5 minutes.

Are there really people who can't walk a 1/4 mile in under 6 minutes - if there are, I would think they would be dead way sooner than 5 years.

Stephen Hawking has beat those odds for the past few decades.

MarleysMom would be exhausted in far less than 1/4 mile.

Thanks for asking.

My mom is 91 and no way could she do it.

I average a 15 minute mile, so I'm in range anyway.

That's 2.5 mph. I'd say most of the people I'm trapped behind while walking in public aren't doing anywhere near that.

Pick up the pace, people! Some of us want to get somewhere today!

I'd say you have to shorten your strides.
