Why I love the Bored

#1 Post by elwoodblues » Fri Jul 18, 2008 8:31 pm

For my 200th post here I thought I would list some of the reasons this is such a great place:

We can have differences of opinion without resorting to profanity and name-calling. (Well, most of the time.)

We can turn here for a pat on the back when we have good news and for sympathy and encouragement when we have bad news.

And where else can you find thoughtful political debate followed by travel updates followed by a dialogue between a dog and a squirrel (sometimes in the same thread)?

Have you ever thought of wearing a dickey? A clean one?
I believe in the usefulness of useless information.

So sweet that 200 posts can be a milestone.

Well said - expresses some of the things I love about this place as well.

Yeah, that's just like vespers for "some."

Pea, I know 200 posts is a slow week for you, but it took me eight months to get there. I will try to pick up the pace a little.

Just keep being you and keep posting. I bet I would out-talk you in person, so I should also out-type you here.
