Golden Moldies

#1 Post by SportsFan68 » Tue Jul 08, 2008 10:03 am

RadioDude said that this song was #1 chronologically between You Keep Me Hangin On and Good Vibrations.

It probably was #1 the first time it was released also, except I think they dint track stuff that way back then.

Name the artist of the 1966 version:

You could have done something
But you didn't try
You didn't do nothing
You let her walk by

Now everyone knows just how much I needed that gal
She wouldn't have gone far away
If only you'd started ringing your bell

-- America would be a better place if leaders would do more long-term thinking. -- Wilma Mankiller

Enough already. It's my fault! Get over it!

That'll be $10, please.

The New Vaudevillians, I think Rudy Vallee was the original.

Btw, I love the song, but wouldn't have gotten it with those lyrics. I'd need to hear the wah-wah.
Spoiler
I'm darned good and ready.

Good job, Ear and Fanny.

Fanny's right about Rudy Vallee too.

I only got it because Rexer supplied the name of the song. Plus I guess I got the band wrong, too. I wasted all that time trying to figure out how to spell Vaudevillians for nothing. Ha!

But I knew Rudy Vallee! My grandma loved him. Especially that Rose, Rose I Love You song.
