I simply could not resist getting tickets to Billy Joel's "Last Play at Shea" a week from Friday -- which will be the last concert ever at Shea Stadium -- so I just plunked down over $300 for 2 nosebleed seats over at StubHub. Yeah, it's a lot for seats from which Billy will look like an ant, or possibly a flea, but this is a historic occasion, and I love Billy Joel's music, so I think it'll be worth it. So even though we won't have such a fantastic view as we did at the Police concert last year, my housemate and I will go and get T-shirts (I hope they have enough for everyone!) and plan to have the time of our lives.
I really hope Billy plays "Miami 2017." It seems appropriate to the occasion. ("They said that Queens could stay, they blew the Bronx away") I wonder how the crowd at the Mets' home would react to the line "They picked the Yankees up for free"?

This will be a great show. Congrats for getting the tickets, and have a wonderful time!

We saw BJ in Anaheim last February and it's a great show! Hopefully they will have some hi def monitors to enhance your experience. Don McLean was great out here on the Fourth! He ended the show with American Pie followed by a sing-a-long encore of the same. Fireworks were spectacular as well!
