Today's political irony

#1 Post by gsabc » Fri Jul 04, 2008 7:49 am

Old Ironsides, AKA the USS Constitution, is based in Charlestown, just across the river from Boston. Every year on July 4, it sails out into the harbor amidst much ceremony, turns around, and goes back into its landing so that it can weather evenly.

The Vice President is in town to attend a reenlistment ceremony on Old Ironsides, as well as the swearing-in of a couple of dozen new US citizens. Presumably, he'll be here earlier. So you could say that Dick Cheney is in Boston to celebrate the turn-around of the Constitution.
I just ordered chicken and an egg from Amazon. I'll let you know.
