That's not fair!! Now I wish I didn't even answer, I'd have the same number of points!!!TheConfessor wrote:Everyone gets two points, regardless of their contributions and abilities? No, if you didn't answer, you'd get zero points. It's all fair in QOD. (s)He who runs the game makes the rules. Was it "fair" to have a special game for llamas on WWTBAM? Is it "fair" that Jeopardy losers get at least $1000, even if they finish with a negative score?sunflower wrote:That's not fair!! My comment was tongue in cheek. Maybe yours was too.

Never discount the value of the time honoured 'participation points'.sunflower wrote:That's not fair!! Right, Marley?
Humour points are another thing altogether. Also valuable and time honoured. If you can't be right, be funny.
Right, LFHP?

2 points per correct answer, 10 points if you get all four correct. Answer with a Spoiler tag in one post in this thread before noon CDT on Wednesday, July 2.
No outside sources allowed. Just take your best guess.
Mr. Andrew, I realize that my answers are past your deadline. I am sorry. I have not had access to a computer, because I am staying in the dog hotel, and my mom took my laptop with her on a trip. It took me until right now to find a time when I could get out of my room and jiggle open the door to an office in the adjoining vet clinic where I could reach a computer. They won't let me use it in the day, and nobody knows I'm using it right now. I hope they won't be mad if they find out. Anyway, it's okay if you have to count my answers as just for fun.

I told you you shoulda stayed with me in my tree! I've got DSL thanks to my wonderful rerouting job of the utility lines down the street....

Many of these (squirrel) migrations were probably caused by food shortages as well as habitat overcrowding. We solved that for them. We not only reduced their habitat, we reduced the whole species by about 90%. The least we can do now is share a little birdseed with them.

Thank you for your kind invitation, Evil, but with my bum leg and all, I can't climb your tree. I'm not sure you have enough duct tape to make a bed big enough for me, anyway. Some big guys work at the dog hotel, so if I have to go someplace high here (like on a table), they lift me.Evil Squirrel wrote:AnnieCamaro wrote:Mr. Andrew, I realize that my answers are past your deadline. I'll bet I can use that anvil as a counterweight to make an elevator for you. Making my tree ADA compliant will probably boost my rep even higher with the NSAS....

Oddly enough, though I will often shoot for humor points, I don't think I have ever awarded one myself in the many, many games I have hosted on this Bored, and I've rarely even given out any special points! I gave christie clairvoyancy points before, and ghost got a couple points last LS because I neglected to include her among the game's regular players, but my overwhelming sense of wanting things to be fair has always precluded me from doling out more.....
That will change in 6 months when the Winter LS returns with a vengeance............

I think participation points are important, but I award humour points sparingly. Something has to make me actually laugh out loud, and few things do that.littlebeast13 wrote:Here's Fanny! wrote:Never discount the value of the time honoured 'participation points'.
