PARIS (Reuters) - The United States on Wednesday hailed a new age of friendship with France following the election of pro-American Nicolas Sarkozy, and suggested that both sides had put the dark days of "freedom fries" behind them.
Patriots can once again order french fries without reproach!

Unless they're Burger King or Wendy's fries in which case they're bound-and-gagged-you-might-as-well-be fries because they suck so bad.

I used to go to Wendy's just for french fries....
Of course, we have no Wendy'ses around here anymore because they were all owned by the same guy and he went out of business....

I noted a couple weeks back that our cafeteria manager stopped using "freedom" as a substitute for "French" in fries and toast.

I guess cafeteria managers were high on the "need to know" list for this decision.

No, as I said when I posted, I think the manager has become disillusioned with the whole Iraq situation, as would appear from his recent music choices.
