3 Generations Question

#1 Post by scarlet235 » Mon Jun 16, 2008 11:48 am

Hi y'all - I know, I know - I only come around when I've got a question. Actually, I only post when I've got a question. I lurk a lot, just like always.

I've read the rules and can't find anything that states the 3 must be grandparent, child, and that child's child. I'm asking because I'd really like to have a team consisting of me, my son, and another son's child. My son who has children over 12 is not so much into trivia, and the two sons that are don't have kids old enough.

What do you think?

Also, where can I go to find an avatar? I'm not nearly as tech savvy as you all are!

I cannot answer your question but you can have this avatar.

They don't specifically forbid other family combinations, but they do say
Want to play Millionaire with your family? Grandparents, parents, and kids...this is your chance! We're looking for 3 generations of the same family to play in the hot seat together with the chance to win 1 million dollars!

They might accept grandparent, son and son's nephew, but I get the feeling they're looking for more direct relationships than that.

parent, child and grandchild ought to work
Suitguy is not bitter.

feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive

The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

THey can't do more than tell you no, so I'd certainly follow-up on it. What have you got to lose? Best of luck!

I wanna do the sibling show, whenever they advertise one, that is. Between 3 of us we could surely put on a good show. We all stink at current pop culture, though.

Thanks for the help - I may try to get to one of the audition sites with family in tow.

Woo hoos to all who have auditioned and received cards - good luck to everyone awaiting their audition - and keep on keeping on to any who need encouragement!
