Tornado near Chicago

Tornado near Chicago
I've read a report that a large tornado is moving through the southern Chicago suburbs. I know that lilyvonschtupp is in the Chicago area. Anyone else? --Bob

Looks like the whole line between Chicago and Detroit is going to get hit by thunderstorms at least.

I'm at NW side of Chicago near O'Hare. We had wild t-storms but no tornado thanks goodness.
I did spot the bluesmobile moving quickly up NW highway and plowed into a building!

We've been having wild weather here for the past 2 days. Friday afternoon, we were under a tornado watch (they issued a warning for Kalamazoo County, but there wasn't any tornado-just high winds, rain, and lots of lightning). I was sitting in the basement thinking about the tornado that hit here in 1980-not an experience I want to repeat. Yesterday evening, we had ANOTHER tornado watch-no tornados this time, either, just MORE rain and wind.
Today, we're under a thunderstorm watch until 10pm. Ugh. I don't like storms.

After being out in the yard all day Saturday, I hop into the car to run out for my Sunday Chicago Tribune, get it and hop back into the car to hear my radio telling me to TAKE COVER NOW!! Holy crap!! The weather looked fine. The repeat of the announcement told me what the tornado looked like. Yikes, this was no theoretical watch or warning. My husband's workplace (he was not there), about 35 miles to the NW of us, was in the path. The tornado touched down in Park Forest and, I believe, University Park and Frankfort (those two places had severe damage, but from the news reports it wasn't clear to me whether the tornado actually touched down), about 40 miles to the NW of us, and moved NE. It was too close for comfort, but we didn't even get rain.
