Racing a Fireball while riding a trapeze

#1 Post by themanintheseersuckersuit » Sun Jun 08, 2008 12:39 pm

D'oh, Why didn't I think of putting this on my WWTBAM application years ago. Its something I used (35 years ago) to do a lot.
Suitguy is not bitter.

feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive

The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

Be sure to mention that, in a professional capacity, you aid and abet squirrels.

That's almost as dangerous.

I'm thinking about forming the ASLU, The American Squirrel Liberties Union, but only if I can get Mr. E. Squirrel to pay his dues with something other than acorns and tinfoil.

Can I join? I can pay in gratuitous insemination.

I think I'm gonna have to report that to DSS, the Department of Squirrel Services. That sure looks like Squirrel Abuse to me.

But, they really, really like me! At least seven of'em do. I didn't ask them to remodel my house. They offered. Sorta.

Well, now that you're here I have the real thing, speaking of nuts.

Disclaimer: I tried hard to find a squirrel ho picture but was afraid of drilling too far down into Google, fearing what I might find that would be inappropriate.

You are one of the Enlightened Ones, Miss Beebs. Far too many two-footers think of all four-footers as "animals," as if that were a label of derision.
