Trip 1 and Trip 2

2 Upcoming trips.

Trip 1

End of February to Las Vegas. We are going with another couple which is kind of scary as we have only traveled with family.

Trip is based around a Def Leppard concert-which the other 3 are excited about-me not so much. I have already been told that I can't bring a book in. I guess I am just approaching it that it is a rock ballad show based on the hunting woes of a hard of hearing leopard. Hey, I got to work with what I got.

My only main want is to eat Gumbo at the Oyster Bar in Palace Station.

Trip 2

End of June. Fly to Vegas. Drive to Reno-but not direct. Go straight north on 93 to US 50 and take that road west to Reno. US 50 is known as the loneliest road and is a bucket list drive for me.

Then Lake Tahoe and Yosemite stuff for a few days.

Then to Monterrey and Santa Maria (looking for some good Santa Maria tri-tip) and San Luis Obispo-then back to Vegas and home.

I think I would pay $17 just to see that. Spock's Dinner with Bob might be better than My Dinner with Andre.

LOL-How do you think I will pay for the trip.

But seriously-probably to evryone's surprise-I basically do not talk about politics in real life. My basic rsponse when somebody says something political (whether or not I agree with it) is a simple "Yeah."

I have given Mrs. Spock very firm advice not to do anything political on Facebook and she agrees with that. I am not on Facebook.

My favorite thing about Frontier Partisans (my online doppelgangers) is that there is very little political stuff there.

Also on Trip 1-we are planning to eat at the Golden Steer again-Mrs Spock and I ate there 2 years ago and the other guy ate there on a trip to Vegas about that time-his wife had to stay home because she got pinkeye.

my guess is that the other 3 will have filet mignon and probably some salad (yuck).

I plan to have the marrow bone appetizer (it is huge) and lamb chops.

They are also known for their huge Australian lobster tails-but I had that last time and I really did care not for it enough to pay the price.

I am choosing lamb chops instead of steak because it is so hard to find lamb served anywhere around here.
