The draw for the 2026 World Cup was announced today. The United States, Canada, and Mexico will serve as co-hosts with early-round games in each country. The field was divided into four groups of 12 teams. The three host teams were each awarded the top seeds in their groups. The top two teams in each group along with the eight highest-ranking third-place teams will advance to the knockout round of 32.
The U.S. got a relatively easy draw. They first play Paraguay on June 12 at SOFI stadium in California. Their second game is against Australia on June 19 in Seattle. Their final game is against the winner of a playoff involving Turkey, Kosovo, Slovakia, and Romania at SOFI on June 25.
The U.S. beat both Paraguay and Australia in recent months in international friendlies.
