A day late, but this is a great article about Georgia Tech's first football "star," Leonard Wood, a physician and highly decorated (Medal of Honor) Army veteran before, during, and after his tenure at Tech. (He actually commanded the Rough Riders; Teddy Roosevelt was his second in command.) The sections about football describe how the game has changed (in some ways, not all that much) over the years.
