Dick Cheney, one of the most powerful and polarizing vice presidents in US history, dies at 84
Dick Cheney, the hard-charging conservative who became one of the most powerful and polarizing vice presidents in U.S. history and a leading advocate for the invasion of Iraq, has died at age 84.

Cheney died Monday due to complications of pneumonia and cardiac and vascular disease, his family said Tuesday in a statement.
..what country can preserve it’s liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? let them take arms.
~~ Thomas Jefferson

War is where the government tells you who the bad guy is.
Revolution is when you decide that for yourself.

Considering his myriad health issues, it's somewhat amazing he made it to 84. I guess there's hope for me to hang around a few more years.

All former VPs and Presidents, as well as other leaders, have offered condolences. Flags around the country are at half staff.

All five former VPs attended the funeral today, and Pres. Bush gave a eulogy.

During an interview this morning, VP Vance said: “My condolences go to Dick Cheney and his family. Obviously there are some political disagreements there, but he was a guy who served his country. We certainly wish his family all the best in this moment of grieving.”
