Meanwhile in L.A. Shohei Ohtani has pitched six scoreless innings and hit three home runs as the Dodgers are three outs away from going back to the World Series.

This will be the fifth time since the LCS was expanded to a best of 7 series that the World Series will be a matchup of one team that swept its series and another that had to go the full 7 games. It also happened in 1988, 2006, 2007 and 2012.

All four of those World Series were won by the team that had to play 7 games.... and none of them lasted longer than five games.
