Thriller writer best known for his novel, The Old Man, which was developed into a cable TV series with Jeff Bridges (as the title character) and John Lithgow. His first book, The Butcher's Boy, won an Edgar award. The reason I'm including an obit notice for a writer most people on the Bored have probably never heard of is that I got to do NetGalley reviews of his two most recent novels, so I feel a bit of a bond with him. I'd also highly recommend him to anyone who likes mystery action thrillers.
