For the next while-whenever Mrs Spock and I are driving somewhere-I get to sigh-and say "Alas, it is a burden I must bear."
The burden is that whenever I go out in public-well, maybe not everytime, but sometimes-well, TBH it happened once at the trade show referenced in the sales line thread-but I am allowed to extrapolate.
So, whenever I go out in public- random attractive young women approach and know who I am and she wasn't even associated with any trade booths at the trade fair.
In this case, she said I looked familiar and asked if I was the Spocklette's dad. Apparently, they are neighbors and friends.
So me and Li'l Spock (who was with me) and the Spocklette were trying to figure out if she remembered me from the wedding or figured out that I look a lot like the Spocklette that it was a fair bet or some combination thereof.
I have often wondered if people who knew me in my 20's and saw the Spocklette would figure out that we were connected.
Oh, well-some things can't be figured out and,"Alas, It is a burden I must bear."
As you might guess-she might hit me the next time I say it, so I have to utilize it strategically.
