Frank Tangredi in hospital
A friend of his posted this on Evil FB, so I think it's able to be shared here. I did ask him (admittedly after I posted it here) - I told him that Frank is a beloved member of this community.
I do not think I exaggerate.
Latest update on Frank Tangredi (August 15)
I can now fill you in on things that I was holding back on.
When I brought Frank to the emergency room a week ago to the day. He was dizzy, weak and confused. I was supposed to drive him to the train station for his trip to Maryland for a scrabble tournament.
When he fell that finally convinced him to go to the ER.
He was in complete kidney failure and suffering from sepsis. He has been on dialysis since then.
Right now, he is maintaining a proper blood pressure without meds. That wasn't the case until yesterday.
There are some positive signs, but we will not know for a few more days if he will recover.
Keep all the thoughts, prayers and positive energy coming.
I know the family and I do appreciate it greatly.

He is much improved. His lab work and vitals are all within acceptable limits. They are keeping him heavily sedated
Because he is intubated and has several tubes and wires that shouldn't be moved. It will probably be several days before he is up and around.
August 9
My long time and good friend Frank Tangredi took I'll yesterday and is in the ICU at Good Samaritan hospital.
He is in serious condition and being kept sedated . I will post updates on his condition. visiting is limited and not really a good idea at this point.

Damn. I had certainly noticed his absence, but nobody expects something like this...
Definitely hoping for a full recovery...

First I've heard about this. Thanks for letting us know. Best wishes to Frank for a full recovery that's as prompt as may be. --Bob

My thoughts and prayers for Frank. The last I heard on FB was before that Scrabble tournament.

Latest post was very reassuring. He’s heading out of the ICU. Making some jokes.
His birthday was three days ago.
