My son (#4, the college graduate) called yesterday evening to tell us how his job interviews went in Seattle. It ended up being only one interview - he had been contacted by a children's museum but after repeated attempts to call back and leaving messages on their answering machine, he was never able to make an appointment. So he went by while he was in town, but there was no one who could see him at that time. As for the other, the interview with the Experience Music Project/Sci-Fi Museum, it went well, but there was at least one other person there for an interview, too, so needless to say they didn't offer him the position right away. Now it's a waiting game.
As for elwing and me, we leave early (and I do mean
EARLY - the plane leaves at 6AM!!

) for our weekend cruise.

Since you posted this at 7:35, I presume you mean tomorrow.
Have a great time on the cruise, ear! That's a nice award elwing's company gave her.

It really is. It's a sign of the many changes that have been made since the company changed hands. When elwing started working there, it was a "mom and pop" operation, with offices in Louisville, Cincinnati, Columbus and Ft. Wayne. The owner was content to run the business and do a good job but that was about it. Three years ago he sold the company to an up-and-coming entrepreneur, and now there are offices from Raleigh to St. Louis, covering almost 1/3 of the nation. Employee numbers have increased from half a dozen to almost 200 (of which about 25 will be on this cruise). He's offering better incentives for performance, too. Although elwing is pleased for the most part, she does miss the calmer days of yore.

Sorry, saucy, no can do - however elwing and I are planning an Alaska cruise that will take us through Vancouver in late June/early July.
