Genx empty nesters

Just saw a local news bit about genx empty nesters. How they need to do whatever blah blah blah.

My stepson’s family is close-knit. The oldest grandkid is leaving for art college next week, leaving them with just two other kids, a dog and cat. So they got a new kitten. The empty nest syndrome is strong with them.

I guess I'm laughing at what every parent goes thru. Sorta like when us baby boomers were having babies and angsting about care and yada yada. As if no one ever dealt with stuff before.
