Since my cellphone hasn't made a peep, I assume that FSIL's plane arrived safely and on time about two hours ago. He and BD may be coming up for air right around now.
We were up late cleaning the house for him. Don't know why we bothered. For one thing, FSIL won't care. Or notice. He's with BD, and as long as there's a roof, the rain isn't falling on his head and the squirrels aren't nibbling on his toes, he'll be fine. For another, the house will only get dirty again.
GW always gets crabby when we're cleaning. We are clutterbugs, and frankly, keeping totally neat isn't a top priority. There are always other things to be done that we think are more important. It bothers GW, but not enough to raise the priority. I have trigger points, too, when I initiate the cleaning action, be it throwing out papers, vacuuming the rugs or just plain putting things away. She will be hard to live with, though, as the day of the shower approaches. Maybe we can keep the currently neat things neat, and work on the other areas to make them neat, too. Maybe.
