Is Kusch still around?

#1 Post by Earl the Squirrel » Sat Oct 08, 2022 8:28 pm

No posts in a while, but maybe he just checks in, rolls his eyes at the amount of Political Monkey Feces Throwing and checks out.

Anyway, Cold Justice had a two parter the last two weeks on a cold case murder in Minot and wondered if he had any thoughts on it.

Also, why is Minot The Magic City?

I didn't know Minot was called "The Magic City." My current town is called that, as well. I was born in Minot. Coincidence? I think not!

Good to see you, Earl!
The author of the Minot history blurb linked below wrote:Minot came into existence in 1886, when Jim Hill's Great Northern Railroad ended its push through the state for the winter, after having trouble constructing a trestle across Gassman Coulee. A tent town sprung up over night, as if by magic, thus the city came to be known as the "Magic City". The town site was chosen by the railroad to be placed on the land of then homesteader Erik Ramstad. Mr. Ramstad was convinced to relinquish his claim, and became one of the city leaders.

I am around.

The consensus around the coffee groups is that the roommate did it. I agree but reasonable doubt is possible. Leading reason for me is her parents lied that she was at home with them all weekend which she was not. She has changed her story about that weekend a couple of times. Former co-worker of mine is the aunt that was shown.

Trial is now set for December.

Update on me. We downsized to a townhouse last year in may. Selling our home and buying another made me a zombie worrying about everything. Lost 25 lbs blaming stress from the transactions. Daughters said no way stress did that. Go see your doctor they said. Long story short I had colectomy surgery last June. 10 inches removed and is was early stage 1. No chemotherapy nor radiation. Blood work every 3 month. Clean so far with a recent colonoscopy and next one due 3 years. I was lucky. Listen to your children.

I see Esto answered the Magic City question.

Go Vikings.

The trial has finally started. Moved to Grand Forks and plan is for a two week trial. It is on Court Tv which is one channel that my provider does have.

The wheels turn slowly, for sure. Hope you are well, Dave, and your fam.

I made a tactical mistake with a girl from Minot once VS a strategic mistake I made with one from a different small town in western ND. The strategic mistake was with one that I might have married and the tactical one from Minot would have most likely been a relationship of much shorter duration.

i have long said that I was(am?) completely clueless when it comes to girls (women?) and they had to hit me with a baseball bat upside the head for me to start to get a clue that they might be interested.

Well, "Minot Girl" was really teeing off with the bat and pounding me with it repeatedly and I still didn't catch a clue until it was too late..
