GW didn't, but BD did. About ten minutes after I got home, GW got an excited call from BD, who had just left work. FSIL is coming this weekend. When BD got home, I spent the next 45 minutes online, searching for the cheapest flights to and from, with the time restrictions given. Two days' notice is not conducive to cheap flights.
Regardless, Dad came through. Reasonable price, considering the short timing. Arrives first thing on Thursday after a red-eye flight. Return is a bit odd, with a double plane change along with a doubling back on the route (Boston to Vegas by way of Fresno). It gets him back on time, though.
Makes it a busy weekend. BD and FSIL will be getting engagement photos on Friday, and FSIL will see where he's getting hitched. We hope he'll see it, anyway. In trying to set up an appointment, GW found out that their head event coordinator is no longer there. We've been dealing with her subordinate anyway, but it was a bit disconcerting. I've also arranged to get a wood chipper to the house on Saturday, so he can help me clear the yard.
