Star running back for the Miami Dolphins in the 1970s, including the 1972 undefeated Super Bowl champions. In his first pro game, he had a 105-yard TD kickoff return against Cincinnati, which is still the Miami team record for longest KO return.

I enjoyed watching him as a kid. I was a huge bandwagon fan of the 1972 Dolphins and for a few years after that.
On a realated note, I'm in Fort Lauderdale for a business meeting. Last night we chartered a water taxi to cruise the intercostal waterway and to take us to dinner. The ride took us by Don Shula's former home which still had some dolphin statues.

This made me wryly chuckle a bit. We all regret not taking various pictures-yours is a house and statues; mine is that I did not take pictures of the sour milk store in Namibia.-LOLBackInTex wrote: ↑Wed Sep 25, 2024 6:57 amI took a couple pictures of a couple super yachts and the water way In general.
