Suitguy is not bitter.

feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive

The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

Ummm, what are the extra seven stars for?

Puerto Rico, DC...then the list of possibilities start getting really unlikely. Guam? The U.S. Virgin Islands?

No, Obama slipped th'other day and said something about having campaigned in 57 states. Don't have the exact quote, but it can probably be googled.

Oh, OK. I guessed I missed that.

But I thought he didn't submit to the empty symbolism of wearing a flag lapel pin?

He was probably rattled by having to take evasive maneuvers to avoid the sniper fire when he flew in.

Maybe that's why he's got so many more delagates than Hillary. He ran in seven elections that she didn't even know about.

This was going to be a post comparing SSS's chance of getting back in the hotseat with a certain candidate's chances of getting the nomination, but I couldn't find a way to say it without sounding more callous and less humorous than I intended. And I'm not about to underestimate HC.
