The New Look on Twitter

I'm not referring to anything political here, but the look of the Twitter (aka X) website itself. Ever since I've been on Twitter, it had a white background with black lettering, the same as most websites. Last week, they switched it to a black background with white lettering. It takes some time to get used to. Retweets or links to other sites sometimes show up in white, black, or other colors. My personal feed uses the black background graphic for Silver Screen Videos, which now is indistinguishable from the black background of Twitter itself (My logo is silver on white and is a more jarring contrast to the old look).

I just think the new look is more of a distraction. I don't know if this is an experiment or a full time change.
