I cannot remember who wrote The Lost Weekend which matches Ray Milland - all I can remember is they guy lived an unhappy life and committed suicide or came to a sad end.

Then we're done!!!

24. RAY MILLAND won his Oscar for The Lost Weekend, written by Charles Jackson, which goes with 38. GLENDA JACKSON. Second use of Jackson.

Thanks, Frank. This was a different type of puzzle that showcases how many varied works led to Oscar-worthy performances.

I have to give Melly a lot of credit for solving the Tangredi. When I talked about the Hilton sisters and how they fit into the puzzle, she mentioned James Hilton. Of course, at the time, it didn't mean anything. But when Frank mentioned how the Tangredi should have been obvious once we guessed Robert Donat and reiterated that it would have been a lot more obvious when he first mentioned it, I went back and put it together. So, I'm awarding Melly half the credit for solving this Tangredi.

This Tangredi came as an especial eye opener to me. Frank melded books and movies together in the puzzle. I'm in the process of updating my website, which crashed five years ago and I haven't been able to update it since. I'm now adding a column for my book reviews to go along with the movie reviews, since I've got a lot of name authors that I've either reviewed recently or have upcoming through NetGalley. I'll let everyone know when I go live. (The updated site will not be political in any way.)
