Character actor best known for his Oscar nominated part in The Rose and appearances in several Francis Ford Coppola films, including Apocalypse Now.

It doesn't come up much, but I became a fan of Mr. Forrest because of When the Legends Die -- it was filmed around here. A couple of my acquaintances made it onto film. I'm glad he'll be remembered for some serious and notable work.

For me, it was Hammett. One of my favourite movies of all time and almost all due to Forrest (I don't even like Marilu Henner, but the rest of the movie was so excellent that she didn't even bug me).
