As I have said here previously, the fascist right in this country is antiwar and anti military, which seems like a tension until you realize that their conspiracy theories don’t make sense, so of course their actions (joining the military while hating the US) wouldn’t make sense either

A recently leaked US intelligence document paints a very different picture of the casualties in the war.
The document suggests that Russia has suffered between 189,500 and 223,000 casualties, with up to 43,000 troops killed in action, while Ukraine has suffered between 124,500 and 131,000 casualties, with up to 17,500 soldiers killed in action.
The leaked document was subsequently altered and shared around Russian Telegram accounts to falsely show the reverse: that Russia had suffered fewer casualties. But even those faked numbers were still lower casualty rates than what Carlson referenced.
A representative for Fox News did not immediately respond to a request for comment by Insider on Friday.

Teixeira wasn't trying to be a "whistleblower" like Snowden or Reality Winner. He stole classified documents and posted them on a website that resembles our Bored in order to impress his friends.
Clearance investigations focus on relationships with foreigners. A doofus who reveals secrets for the fun of it isn't on their radar. (Hopefully it will be from now on.)
The documents could include fake "secrets" planted to fool spies. We'll probably never find out.

There is a stronger undercurrent in this country that wants us to fail, because we are perceived as being too woke.
Spock was actively rooting or Vladimir Putin, because he felt he represented old-line, conservative values, and that the Ukraine, a former Eastern bloc country, was somehow an island of homosexualism in the Slavic world. It didn’t make any sense, but illogical things happen when you start hating third parties you have never met.
And I strongly suspect that chat group had a strong with of the country falling apart because of “woke” policies, so anything Biden does deserved to be undermined.
And this is all an extension of MAGA - implying that current America isn’t great, and instead of trying to make it stronger, working to make it worse for those you think ruined it.

WTF???-Where in the hell did you get that? I guess the nearest I can think of that I posted here is something I got from NPR (note the source) last summer/fall that things might not be going as well for Ukraine as the narrative put out. Note this was from frickin' NPR.
Looks like you have been spending way too much time (for a doctor with young kids) down rabbit holes keeping track of various conspiracy theories that I have never mentioned here (Ukraine-Homosexuality etc) , and frankly only have heard of at the margins-such as from you and yet for some reason you feel compelled to attribute this to me.
I have seen far more rabid right-wing conspiracy theories here from people like SSS, the Bobs and you as you guys build your straw men than I run across anywhere I go on the internet or in real life.

It's not unusual for service personnel his age to have top secret clearance. They put together briefing books and dossiers for senior level staff meetings, and they have guard duty over locations where sensitive documents are kept. Whether Teixeira personally was sufficiently vetted and how many others are out there with possible ulterior motives to leak or take classified documents is another questions. I'm sure the military is re-evaluating its procedures now in the wake of his actions.
