The "Casca" Series is Kind of Fun-Easter Connection

With Easter-I was telling the kids about this 1970's era pulpy fiction series.

Started by Barry Sadler of "The Ballad of the Green Beret fame. Continued by other authors after Sadler-quite a few books in the series.

Premise is that one of the Roman soldiers at the crucifixion was cursed by Jesus to remain alive (and a soldier) until Jesus's return.

Casca's worst fear (as you might imagine) is to be buried in a cave-in or whatever and remain alive under those circumstances for Millenia.

In book 1-he was a slave underground in the mines for a long time-Book 2 he hit Maya country (they don't go in sequence by time-just jump around a lot) and in book 3 he was in China.

That is as far as I have gotten-looks like he was in the German Panzers in WW2 in Book 4.
