Oh, happy day, oh, joyous cheer!
It's Dr. Seuss's birthday; let's all cheer!
The man who wrote of cats in hats,
And Whos down in Whoville, imagine that!
His stories are silly, his rhymes so fun,
Reading his books is for everyone.
From Green Eggs and Ham to Horton Hears a Who,
His words have a magic that's tried and true.
So let's celebrate this day with glee,
And thank Dr. Seuss for all we see.
For he taught us to read and use our imagination,
And inspired us all with his wonderful creation.
So blow out the candles, cut the cake,
And let's all give Dr. Seuss a big round of applause and shake!

My favorite Seuss book is Horton Hatches the Egg.
