Who's Been Blocked on Twitter?

#1 Post by silverscreenselect » Sun Jun 05, 2022 1:03 am

I found out something interesting exciting yesterday. I've been blocked by Dylan McDermott on Twitter.

I send out several twitter posts a day, usually on entertainment-related topics. Yesterday, I read that Dermot Mulroney had been added to the cast of the next Scream film. Since there are usually two killers in a Scream movie, I composed a post saying that it would be great synergy if somehow Mulroney and McDermott would turn out to be the killers since most people confuse them anyway. So, I went to McDermott's twitter account to verify the spelling of McDermott's name and his Twitter handle, if he had one. I then found out that he (or more likely his publicist) had blocked me.

I was surprised and frankly honored. When McDermott was the villain on the new Law and Order series, I posted that he was the biggest drag on the show. Then, when he signed up to be the new lead on FBI: Most Wanted, I made a couple of other posts critical about him. I've probably made about a half dozen posts total about him. But one or all of them were enough to get me blocked.

BTW, there is a site (https://blolook.osa-p.net/) you can log into with your Twitter account and it will tell you how many people have blocked you and if you have also blocked them. However, the only way to find out who has blocked you is to do what I did, go to their Twitter account and learn the news. I found out that McDermott is the only person who blocked me so far. Of course, by posting this, I may get a few dozen Bored members block me tomorrow as well.
So, has anyone else here been blocked on Twitter that they know of? Care to share any details?

I don't get on Twitter but I'm "on probation" on Facebook due to a post I made. It was a reply to an article shared by the Harris County Constanble's office on a gang of catalytic converter theives (it is a huge problem in Harris County) who were arrested after totaling the car they had stolen while being chased. I commented "They should just shoot them", kinda of half serious... well, a little more than half serious. This was before we had a Sherriff's deputy shot and killed when he confronted some catalytic converter theives trying to steal his in a parking lot. I'v very serious about just shooting them now.
..what country can preserve it’s liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? let them take arms.

War is where the government tells you who the bad guy is.
Revolution is when you decide that for yourself.

I've been blocked by Tucker Carlson on Twitter, but that's no surprise to anybody who has been reading my Facebook feed for the past three years because I've been wearing that block like a badge of honor.

I can’t imagine why calling for human beings to be shot over a junior felony might get you in trouble.
