I'll ask you the same question Spock ducked. Are you, personally, willing to bear that price, which will come in higher energy costs and higher inflation? Or do you want something for nothing?
Are you really a lawyer? Your line of questioning is stupid in so many ways:

1) If I'm paying more due to higher inflation, I'd rather it be for stopping Putin than for enriching him.
2) Yes, I am personally willing to bear that price. Is that a penny a gallon or $10 a gallon more? You didn't quantify. Dumb question!
3) Do you think that Spock and I will automatically have the same responses to everything? We may have different experiences, something you, apparently, failed to consider.
4) Do you think Spock has a grandfather who was killed by invading Russian paratroopers?
5) Do you think Spock's family had to flee their country with little more than the clothes on their backs in order to avoid political persecution?
6) Do you think Spock's mother lost her father, her home and her homeland in a 1-month span at the age of 16?
7) Do you think Spock's ancestral homeland is very likely to be the next target if Putin is not stopped in Ukraine?
our bob is an above-average lawyer. he has said so himself, so it is true, because he is an expert in everything, And you, Spock, me, and everybody else is not. Unless, of course, they agree with him. And you can take that to the bank, because he is not a liar, like I am. And we don't have as rich or varied life experience as he has had. So just deal with it.

And don't expect an answer. He never gives any, he just changes the subject or ignores the question completely. I guess he figures we don't deserve any answers. Because we only ask questions that are beneath him.

I do. I asked a question. It was answered ("Yes, I am personally willing to bear that price."). The answer was mixed in with a bunch of shots at me that don't deserve a response because they assume positions that I've never taken.

But it sounds like Spock and Esto have a substantial disagreement over what steps the United States should take to oppose Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Perhaps they should have that discussion. --Bob

A bunch? What shots were there at you besides pointing out your stupid question?

What assumptions did I make? I doubt they were anywhere near the assumptions you made about me in the VP thread.

He's not deflecting. He's practicing. He's an above average lawyer. We know lawyers NEVER admit they're wrong about anything. Have you ever known a lawyer who did? In any court case, there is one side that is right, and one side that is wrong. But BOTH sides have to act like they are right in everything they present. And stick to it. Heck, some of them even defend people who they know are guilty as hell, and they make up scenarios out of nothing in order to perform that role. And usually for a lot of money.
I think that's what bob does on this bored. He practices. bob will never admit he's wrong about anything. He'll just come up with some other scenario to dodge having to concede a point.

Snopes rates Biden's statement as a mixture. He was the Benjamin Franklin Presidential Practice Professor, an honorary title, and received $900,000 during his stay. The Daily Pennsyvanian describes his activities:
Although he does not teach regular classes, Biden has appeared on campus several times, and spoken at Penn on at least five occasions. Some of his visits include a dialogue at Irvine Auditorium with former U.K. Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg, Penn’s 2018 Silfen Forum, and an event with President Gutmann, where he discussed international relations and cancer research.

Snopes sums it up: "Given that Biden was an honorary professor for around four years, earning close to $1 million, but did not teach an actual full course during that time, we rate this claim as a “Mixture.”

Biden wasn't any more corrupt than any celebrity spokesperson. Jeb Bush served as a "Presidential Professor of Practice" at Penn. Biden attended various fund-raising and similar events that people paid a good bit of money to attend. So, I'm sure that Penn got its money's worth from Biden's stay there. And he resigned his position when he ran for President in 2020.

Bush league. Pun intended.

Hell, if he wasn’t so senile he might have had the sense to start up a Biden University. Course, no guarantee that if he had done that he wouldn’t have ended up having to shuck out 25 million bucks or so because of fraud claims

In May 2016, Biden's granddaughter and Trump's daughter both graduated from Penn. A memorable day in Philadelphia, notably for the traffic jams.
