Producer and/or director of many hit comedies from the 1970s on, including Animal House, the original Ghostbusters and its sequel, Twins, Kindergarten Cop, and Space Jam. He also produced the recent Ghostbusters: Afterlife, directed by his son, Jason Reitman.
