Help with an old primetime episode

#1 Post by jsuchard » Fri May 02, 2008 6:14 pm

Long story, but basically I need some help finding a transcript (or better yet, a video recording) of an old WWTBAM episode from April 6, 2000.

One of the contestants, Allen Kong, was a $0 winner, missing the $300 question. He works at my hospital, and his closer co-workers are planning a roast for his graduation ceremony.

I know what the questions were, more or less. However, I don't have a list of all 4 possible answers for each question. I have been TiVo'ing repeat episodes of BAM for months, but haven't found this episode yet.

Does anyone know of a link to a website that still carries this information?

Thanks

FFF: Goldie Hawn films, MOST RECENT first:
A. Overboard B. Death Become Her C. First Wives Club D. Private Benjamin

Correct answer: C-B-A-D
Winner/Time: Allen Kong, 5.22 seconds!

Allen Kong is going to UC-Irvine, and he's going to be a doctor.

For $100: According to the saying, someone who is hiding dark secrets is said
to have what in the closet?
Skeletons for $100.

For $200: What object is "the one" in the bathtub that Ernie from Sesame
Street always sings about?
Rubber ducky for $200 - even though he didn't watch much TV as a young kid,
and he burns up ATA (90) to lock it in.

For $300: Which is a famous French cooking school?
A. Moulin Rouge B. Eiffel Tower C. Cordon Bleu D. Chicken a la King
Moulin Rouge he guesses... and he's dead. It's Cordon Bleu.

Ack, I remember this.

I remember thinking, if only he can get past these pop culture Qs, this kid will have a great chance.

Not to be...
-- In Iroquois society, leaders are encouraged to remember seven generations in the past and consider seven generations in the future when making decisions that affect the people.
-- America would be a better place if leaders would do more long-term thinking. -- Wilma Mankiller

Nicknamed "Dr. Rubber Ducky" at the time.

Here is a version with the wrong answers:

FFF: Goldie Hawn films, MOST RECENT first:
A. Overboard B. Death Become Her
C. First Wives Club D. Private Benjamin

Allen Kong - 5.22 seconds
Irvine, CA
Medical student

$100: According to the saying, someone who is hiding dark secrets is said to have what in the closet?
A. Mice B. Uncle Julius
C. Skeletons D. Litter box

Allen uses his ATA on the following:
$200: What object is 'the one' that Ernie sings about while in the bathtub on the TV series 'Sesame Street'?
A. Rubber ducky (90%) B. Toy boat (2%)
C. Plastic Piggy (1%)D. Pet rock (7%)

Allen guesses incorrectly on the following:
$300: Which of the following is a famous French cooking school?
A. Moulin Rouge B. Eiffel Tower
C. Cordon Bleu D. Chicken a la King

Allen's guess was A. The correct answer was C. Regis says Allen left with $200, but Allen left with nothing.

Answers
FFF : C-B-A-D
$100: C
$200: A
$300: C

John,

I'd be ever so appreciative if you could send me a copy of the tape or DVD soon. Please let me know how I can compensate you for your time, materials, and postage.

Thanks
