My sister got an odd thing from a possible unknown relative on Ancestry.com.
I don't know how that site works-but this lady was extremely closely related to both a line on our paternal line (Norway) and a maternal line (Germany.)
Apparently, her mom went from Norway to Germany in 1945 (of all years). Her mom never told her anything about her dad.
On the surface, it looks like Mom collaborated with the Germans in Norway and fled to Germany as the war wound down.
So what did her mom do during the war?

My mother's Norwegian Benson ancestors came to Crow Wing County, and my father's Etters were Germans who came to Switzerland then Pennsylvania.
