Trying to contact the Mass. Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (mercifully known as MCDHH) to get an update on the interpreters for HS and his GF. I'm not sure if I was supposed to be contacted by the interpreters, or if I needed to do some followup. I know I'm supposed to give them the officiant's contact information, which I only now have. I need to check our files for anything they've sent, like a job number.

The elliptical works. For now. When we moved it, there were a bunch of small black pieces underneath, which look like they might be bits of something that has worn or broken off. One side also seems to be clicking, in the track where the arms run in front on the incline angle. I will take a look at it tonight to see if there's something I can do with it.

As I was typing that last paragraph, the MCDHH contact returned my call. The ball is in their court; they will call us when they find a potential interpreter. The problem is that they keep looking up to 48 hours before the event. That's awfully late to be told there won't be an interpreter, especially since HS will be participating. I don't know what we can do if MCDHH can't find one. I will look up old e-mails and call some of the people from agencies who worked with HS and us in the dim dark past and see if they know of any possibilities. Officiant in, interpreter out. I knew we weren't home and dry just yet.
I just ordered chicken and an egg from Amazon. I'll let you know.
