Friggin' rain
GW is delayed out of ORD, because of rain in Boston. And she lost the temporary crown she had put on just before she left for her mother's. Any more delays and she won't make the dental appointment she made to get it glued back on. I don't wanna know what else can happen today.
I just ordered chicken and an egg from Amazon. I'll let you know.

Okay, who do I believe? Airline's website says it's due in at 6:11, about 35 minutes late. However, a flight tracking site says it hasn't left yet (it was scheduled to leave 2 hours ago), and weather.com's tracker says it won't leave until 5:35 ET.
They apparently needed the gate, so they got everyone on the plane only a little after they were scheduled and parked somewhere out on the runway. Now they're sitting there for nearly 3 hours? No wonder people have such a low opinion of airlines.
Meanwhile, GW sits with an uncrowned tooth, unable to drink or eat anything cold, and presumably hot, on that side of her mouth. We'll miss her dental appointment for tonight, unless they keep truly late hours. Joy.

This morning LGA and JFK were running four hours late and EWR was two hours.

GW is home, tired but glad to be back. I left work with four different results for when the plane would land. Got there about ten minutes before it did so. Even better, she got in early enough so that she could still get her crown reglued back into place tonight instead of waiting for tomorrow. Item of note: the dentist said she could temporarily put it back on with toothpaste, at least until she could get to the dentist.
Anyway, she's glad to be back. My mom worries. Her mom gripes. 5-7 days is about all GW can take. I hope when we're that old, we neither worry or gripe. I also hope we both get to find out.

I'm glad she's home safely. My last trip I lost a filling the night before I left. It was fun.
My mom is 91 and worries night and day! Must come with the territory!!
I too, will be fortunate to find out if that's what I do when that age.
