One of the original members of the Four Seasons whose departure under strained circumstances was a significant plot point in the musical Jersey Boys.

Died of complications from COVID at age 92.

This obit has a significant error, although nothing to do with DeVito himself. Bob Crewe was NEVER a MEMBER of the Four Seasons, although he produced and co-wrote a large number of their hits. The classic lineup of The Four Seasons were DeVito, Bob Gaudio, Frankie Valli of course, and the one left out of the obit, bass singer Nick Massi. He left around 1965 and was succeeded by several fellas but none of them were Crewe.
