Purple district (Dems flipped in 2018)
Attractive Republican candidate with military background
Unextraordinary Democratic candidate
Resignation of incumbent Democratic caused by mild scandal

And it was a special election, which still tends to favor Republicans. Pretty decent chance the seat flips back in November. --Bob
