A bright, sunshiny day in store for the Ohio Valley. Today the search committee that was responsible for bringing our current pastor to our church (a committee of which I was a member) will have its 11th annual celebration luncheon with the pastor.

11 years is a reasonably long tenure. Congrats to all involved.

Yes it is. Last time I checked, the average tenure for a Southern Baptist pastor was about 3.5 years.

And the good news is that he is still excited about his work and the church is still enthused about having him.
