Miss Annie, is it true that four-footers have some sort of "sixth sense" that informs them before earthquakes happen?
Yes, it is true, but if our sixth sense tells us that the earthquake won't be any big deal, we may forget to tell the two-footers about it.
If it will be a big deal, we're outta here. Four-footers would rather deal with earthquakes underneath the open sky than underneath anybody's roof.
Silly dogs. I knew this was coming 18 years ago! Top that, you evil four footers who are always trying to dig up my grave....

Bones? You've got bones? I'm only curious, mind you, but precisely where are you buried?

So the question is asked again, "Where's Iben Browning"
Suitguy is not bitter.
feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive
The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

So, four pages of posts in this thread and we haven't made any progress.

That'll be $10, please.

I looked up Mr. Dr. Browning and found his NY Times obituary:
http://tinyurl.com/6ml447
He died in Albuquerque, so he might be underneath Albuquerque. If there's another earthquake in New Mexico, I will consider that as confirmation.

I can cause my own earthquakes now just by rolling over in my grave. I just don't have a way to issue any predictions, unless I can get in the dreams of that chick on Medium. I'll bet she finds septegenarian climatologists like me to be really hot....
