There is no trigger. No matter what the subject of the thread, one or more of the trump haters will feel the need to get in some derogatory swipe at trump. I don't understand it, but they seem to get some kind of thrill out of it.

It's relevant because, back then, Indian, Asian, Italian, etc. roles were often stereotypes, but presumably if you belong to the ethnic group you'll try to be more accurate.

Five years earlier, John Ford's last movie was Cheyenne Autumn, a rather progressive for its time look at the plight of the American Indians (in this case, being relocated to rather squalid conditions hundreds of miles from their homes) that many felt was a form of apology by Ford for his treatment of Indians in earlier films. However, he cast such "authentically" Indian actors as Sal Mineo, Ricardo Montalban, Dolores del Rio, and Gilbert Roland in the lead Indian roles.
