It blows my mind that Obama can say that another human being can be God's punishment for choosing to have sex, and yet it gets nowhere near the coverage of his "elitist" gaffe.Jeemie wrote:It blows my mind that I can post an editorial that basically said if you criticize Obama, it's because you're a racist...and no one here cares- they just care about defending their candidate.

A fetus approaches a single girl at a party.
"Hey sexy, would you like a drink?" he asks.
She looks down and says, "Do I have a choice?"
"Well...yes YOU do," says the fetus.

Just because I disagree with someone- even vehemently- I try not to get upset about them, mostly because if I did that, I would spend a lot of my time upset.
Also, because I'm skeptical enough about my own ability to parse what I think (there's a reason I use that signature line), that if I do get upset, I'm willing to entertain the notion that my upset may say more about me than it does about the person upsetting me. Of course, I could be right about this, too.
Then, along comes Nick Kristof with a column that states and supports all this better than I can:

Isn't this how we got into Iraq in the first place, by TPTB picking and choosing the data that supported their views and ignoring or downplaying the data that didn't?nitrah55 wrote:Then, along comes Nick Kristof with a column that states and supports all this better than I can:
