With the posts at Running Iron on first person shooter video games dancing in my head.
Littlest Spock just started playing "Fortnight" (Or whatever it is) which is apparently a major fad among the teenage set.
At the very least, when juxtaposed with the news, it is disturbing to hear the constant discussions of AR-15's and their integral part of the game.
Are we all good with AR-15's in that context?
Again, I am posting Bored Unseen, so I won't be reading the responses (if any).

This new iteration of Spock reminds me of the little boy covering his ears and screaming at the top of his lungs so he can't hear anything.

Yeah, it bugs me much that there's several generations by now playing 1st-person-shooter games. They don't all go out & kill real people with real guns but I bet some pushed themselves into that with games.
An expert in virtual reality (on NPR, where some of you won't have heard it) said that the VR experience will give gamers the feel of a real automatic weapon.
I haven't noticed recent killers being particularly inept with their automatics. Maybe they had real-world training. Or maybe its something you pick up fast.
