KKK 'imperial wizard' found dead on a Missouri riverbank
No cause of death released but there is this
The Washington County Sheriff's Office would like to extend our sympathy to Mr. Ancona's family and friends. I would like to thank the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the Franklin County Sheriff"s Office and the Saint Francois County Sheriff's Office for their assistance and professionalism during this tragic and senseless act of violence
So we can assume his was not a natural death. Just not a surprising one.
When asked how the case was progressing the sheriff's office said
Well, we're wrapping up our investigation on the bag of poop left on ole Ms. Rogers porch last Friday, then we've got to look into Mr. Quigley's complaint about the neighborhood kids cutting across his lawn on the way home from school. After that we expect to be able to pursue those leads we got from the Crime Stoppers line. Hopefully we can get to them before we have to provide security for next weekend's Turnip Festival and the Miss Root Vegetable pageant.

The local news station on in the break room when I showed up for work last night led off with this story. They interviewed the dead man's son who wanted to make sure everyone knew that despite his "title", he was actually a very nice guy...

They would have gotten away with it if it weren't for them accepting the key to the city and honorary Grand Mastership for the upcoming Turnip Festival parade. Those were apparently too obvious of a confession that could not be ignored. That's a shame.

That's because it wasn't on his porch, but his spinster sister's porch. Still unsolved, probably.
