OK, I just went through all of the reported matches in this thread and cross-checked them with my answers. There were a total of seven matches on my list that nobody found. You guys already know one of them, as I mentioned it in the last comment:
17. BENJAMIN BUTTON = Brad Pitt, who was on "Glory Days" (35. BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN)
"North" had two additional matches, and both of them go through Jussie Smollett.
20. NORTH = Jussie Smollett, who is on "Empire" (4. SHAKIRA)
20. NORTH = Jussie Smollett, who was on "On Our Own" (30. BOBBY BROWN)
He plays one of Taraji P. Henson's sons on "Empire", but his first TV series was "On Our Own". That was an ABC sitcom from 1994 that also starred all of Jussie's brothers and sisters--Jake, Jurnee, Jazz, Jojo, Jocqui, Jiminy, Judo, Jester, Jonquil, Jinky... or something like that. Naming Smollett kids is like naming Sarah Palin's kids. Frank did get a completely different "On Our Own", which was a CBS sitcom from 1977.
Frank mentioned a long time ago that David Bowie might be here for "Fame"... but he didn't quite get that ball over the line.
15. POETIC JUSTICE = Janet Jackson, who was on "Fame" (29. DAVID BOWIE)
David Bowie was here a third time:
25. RAISING HELEN = Hayden Panettiere, who was on "Heroes" (29. DAVID BOWIE)
Frank got Hayden for "Nashville", but missed her on her earlier series. Incidentally, another person in "Raising Helen" had a match of his own:
25. RAISING HELEN = John Corbett, who was on "Lucky" (40. GREG KIHN BAND)
That was the short-lived FX show that Corbett did in lieu of co-starring in "My Big Fat Greek Life", the short-lived CBS sitcom version of "My Big Fat Greek Wedding".
The last match once again involved the lead actor from one of the discovered TV series where Frank matched up somebody farther down the cast list:
32. FREEWAY = Michael T. Weiss, who was on "The Pretender" (19. JACKSON BROWNE)
But well done on finally nailing the theme and making the links. See ya'll in 2017!
